First Aid at Work Training Course

First Aid at Work Training Course is requirement of the Health & Safety law that employers provide a safe and healthy environment to work in. If your assessment of first aid needs highlights the need for qualified first aiders, then this level 3 qualification will provide you with suitable, highly trained personnel.

Our First Aid at Work three-day course covers a wide range of first aid emergencies, enabling all participants to deal with emergency situations with confidence in a prompt, safe and effective way. In addition, this course will include any protocol changes that may have arisen since their last training course.

First Aid at Work Training Course – syllabus

A range of subjects are covered in:

  • Legalities, responsibilities and reporting
  • Heart attacks
  • Dealing with an unresponsive casualty
  • Eye injuries
  • Fractures and spinal injuries
  • Choking
  • Control of bleeding
  • Chest injuries
  • Assessment of the situation
  • Diabetes, Shock (including Anaphylaxis), Asthma
  • Head injuries
  • Poisoning
  • Sprains and strains
  • Stroke
  • Burns
  • Epilepsy
  • Resuscitation
First Aid at Work Training Course
 

This course is suitable for those who need to be First Aiders in the Workplace in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.  The First Aid at Work course is run over three days and includes both theory and practical sessions.

Certification is dependent on successful continuous assessment of the student, there is no final exam. Those students who complete the course and are deemed to have reached the required standard are issued with a certificate that is valid for three years. Under the current guidelines it is strongly recommended that first aid trained staff attend a half-day update every twelve months.

This course is suitable for those who need to be First Aiders in the Workplace in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. This course can be adapted to suit a particular audience, for example, clerical or engineering staff. The First Aid at Work course is run over three days and includes both theory and practical sessions. By arrangement the course can be run on non-consecutive days, for example – one day a week over three weeks. 

Certification is dependent on successful continuous assessment of the student, there is no final exam. Those students who complete the course and are deemed to have reached the required standard are issued with a certificate that is valid for three years. Under the current guidelines it is strongly recommended that first aid trained staff attend a half-day update every twelve months.
